Laura Whitmore’s first movie revealed as Love Island star joins Oscar-winning producer’s film – with villa legend’s DAD | The Sun

LAURA Whitmore has landed her first movie role – working alongside an Oscar and BAFTA winning production company.

The TV presenter, 38, appears alongside Tamer Hassan, who’s daughter Belle appeared on Love Island, and they have already started shooting in Newcastle.

The film is called A Mother for an Hour and also stars Asia Argento (The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things), Frances Barber (A Bird Flew In) and child actor Erin Ainsworth.

It follows the story of a woman who poses as the lost mother of a dying child and discovers through this act a world of deceit and violence.

It is the fourth feature film from the award winning production company Goldfinch and The Number 44 and is being directed by Giga Agladze.

Laura, who is married to Iain Stirling, has moved into acting since stepping down from hosting Love Island last year.
