Marilyn Manson May Seek ‘Global Mediation’ Following Sexual Assault Accusations

According to Stephen D. Rothschild, the ‘The Beautiful People’ crooner is ‘open’ to settlement talks with a Jane Doe, who claims that the singer raped her in 2011.

AceShowbizMarilyn Manson has been accused of sexual assault and sued by multiple women for nearly a year. Currently, it appears that progress is being made as his defense lawyer, Stephen D. Rothschild, has opened the door for possible “global” settlement talks with his alleged victims.

During a court hearing on Friday, November 19 in Los Angeles, per Rolling Stone, “The Beautiful People” crooner’s attorney stated that the singer was open to settlement discussions with a Jane Doe, the singer’s former girlfriend who claimed that he had raped her in 2011. After the initial remarks, he then added that other settlements might follow.

“There are other cases that are somewhat related, and so as things progress, we may decide that it’s best to have a global mediation,” Stephen stated. As for when the mediation will be held, the lawyer added, “I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon, but it is in the cards.”

Stephen’s comments came after Marilyn was hit with a new allegation. The 52-year-old singer was accused by model Ashley Morgan Smithline of punishing women by locking them in a soundproof room, which he allegedly called “Bad Girls’ Room.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Ashley detailed the alleged “Bad Girls’ Room.” She told the music outlet, “At first, he made it sound cool. Then, he made it sound very punitive. Even if I was screaming, no one would hear me.”

“First you fight, and he enjoys the struggle,” Ashley, one of the many women suing Marilyn for sexual assault and unlawful imprisonment, added. “I learned to not fight it, because that was giving him what he wanted. I just went somewhere else in my head.”

Marilyn has been accused of rape, sexual assault, human trafficking and unlawful imprisonment by at least four different women, including his ex-girlfriends, “Westworld” star Evan Rachel Wood and “Game of Thrones” actress Esme Bianco.

However, Marilyn’s representative has denied Ashley’s allegations in July as saying, “We strongly deny Ms. Smithline’s claims. There are so many falsehoods within her claims that we wouldn’t know where to begin to answer them.” The “This Is the New S**t” hitmaker’s attorney, Howard E. King, also fought back against the legal action, declaring they will “vigorously contest these allegations in court and are confident that we will prevail.”
