Tipping Point viewers mock contestant after major blunder on time question | The Sun

TIPPING Point fans were left baffled when one contestant seemed to suffer a major blunder.

Ben Shephard was hosting the ITV quiz as he welcomed another three hopefuls who were battling it out in order to gain as many tokens as possible and bag themselves the cash.


However fans of the show were utterly confused as one contestant appeared to get a VERY simple question incorrect.

Steven was the hopeful in question who was appearing alongside his fellow players Emily and Lillian when he made the huge error.

Host Ben asked him: "How many minutes are there in half an hour?"

Appearing instantly confused about what he had been asked, Steven said:  "Four…"

The dodgy answer set Twitter alight as they could not believe what they were hearing.

One fan shared a meme of a clock whizzing around in quick succession as they added: "One half of an hour consists of 4 MINUTES?! Wow, the day goes by so fast!"

Another questioned:  “How many minutes in half an hour? 4 IS HE FOR REAL?!!”

As a third echoed: “He say 4 minutes?? I dead,”

Some fans of the programme also believed that Steven gave the answer of forty leaving them as equally as shocked.

Alongside a string of laughing emojis, one wrote: "'How many minutes in half an hour?' Stephen 'Forty'."

As a second fumed: "Watching Tipping Point and this man fr said ‘40’ to 'how many minutes are in half an hour?'"

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
