Brandon Blackstock is the ex-husband of famous singer Kelly Clarkson.

Blackstock and Clarkson, who were married for seven years, finalized their divorce on March 8, 2022 after a bitter divorce battle.

Who is Brandon Blackstock?

Blackstock, 45, is a music manager and amateur pilot.

The pair married in 2013 at Blackberry Farm, a luxury resort in Walland, Tennessee.

Clarkson offloaded to Seth Meyers in 2020 about wanting to spend time alone.

"I looked at my husband because it was a rough week of work and non-stop everything, and I said, 'I don't want to cook one damn meal, I don't want to clean one article of clothing, I don't want to do anything," she said.

On March 8, 2022, nearly two years after filing for divorce TMZ reported that the former couple had reached a settlement.

The outlet reported that L.A. Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon had signed off on the terms of the divorce that Tuesday.

Clarkson is set to keep their Montana ranch home that they once shared, noting that Blackstock must pay her $12,500 a month in rent.

Her ex currently lives in Montana, if he is to move then the current custody agreement will change.

Brandon will get spousal support of $115,000 a month, but that will come to an end in January 2024.

Kelly's annual estimated salary of $20million will be solely hers.

In addition, he is also earning $1.3million as part of the settlement.

Clarkson, who shot to fame in 2002 after winning the first season of American Idol, is rumored to be worth a whopping $45million.

What does Brandon do for a living?

Blackstock is a music manager whose clients have included Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts.

In 2012, Shelton told HuffPost that he encouraged Blackstock and Clarkson's marriage.

"I told Brandon, 'Man, you need to grow up and you figure out that you need to marry this girl."

He added: "I am going on the record saying, I will do the music at the wedding or whatever you want to do, I’ll be that guy. I will play for four hours if I have to, cause you need to get you[r] head out of your ass and ask that girl to marry you."

Blackstock's stepmother is country singing star Rebecca McEntire, who was also Clarkson's mentor.

Kelly's ex is reportedly worth around $5million.

He is the CEO of Starstruck Management Company, which he co-owns with his father.

How did he meet ex-wife Kelly Clarkson?

The couple met in 2012 through Brandon's father, Narvel Blackstock, who is also Clarkson's manager.

The couple has two children together, two children together: 7-year-old daughter River Rose and 5-year-old son Remington Alexander.

Clarkson has won primary custody of her children in her nasty divorce.

On March 8 it was revealed by TMZ that the custody agreements ruled in Clarkson's favor.

Clarkson will have primary custody of their two kids, unless Brandon moves out of the state of Montana then the terms will be renegotiated.

The singer will also be required to pay Brandon $45,600 a month in child support.

Before the split the family had been quarantining in their Montana mansion, Vintage Valley.

They had been joined by Blackstock's two teenage children from a previous marriage, Savannah and Seth.
